Patch Installation Instructions:
--------------------------------

There are three (3) possible procedures for installing patches on Sun
Cluster 3.1. The proper method to use and any additional instructions,
for this patch are specified below in the "Special Install Instructions"
section.

Refer to the chapter entitled "Patching Sun Cluster Software and
Firmware" in the "Sun Cluster 3.1 System Administration Guide" for a
description of the different install processes and instructions on how
to install Sun Cluster 3.1 patches.

Refer to the man pages for instructions on using 'patchadd' and
'patchrm' commands provided with Solaris, to install and remove patches.

Special Install Instructions:
-----------------------------

NOTE 1: Install this patch using the patch install procedure for a "Non
Rebooting Sun Cluster Patch" as described in the "Patching Sun
Cluster Software and Firmware" chapter of the "Sun Cluster 3.1
         System Administration Guide"

NOTE 2: When applying this patch, the files listed within the earlier section
will get overwritten. If you are applying this patch to an existing
deployment of Oracle E-Business Suite within Sun Cluster, you will
have previously amended the following files:

         /opt/SUNWscebs/cmg/util/cmg_config
         /opt/SUNWscebs/cmglsr/util/cmglsr_config (Sun Cluster 3.2 only)
         /opt/SUNWscebs/frm/util/frm_config
         /opt/SUNWscebs/opmn/util/opmn_config (If Oracle E-Business R12 is
                                               installed)
         /opt/SUNWscebs/rep/util/rep_config

If you want to keep the configuration information within these files
then save them somewhere else before applying this patch.

If you are reading this after applying the patch, then remove this
patch and then save your /opt/SUNWscebs/<xxx>/util/<xxx>_config file
as required. After doing this, you can then re-apply this patch.

NOTE 3: If you need to implement the fix for 6623552 (Oracle Apps user
password visible in clear text in clrs show -vv output which any
user can run), you should disable and delete the resources for CMG
and OPMN (if installed). Afterwards you should re-register these
resources but omit the APPS_PASSWD= entry within the following files:

         /opt/SUNWscebs/cmg/util/cmg_config
         /opt/SUNWscebs/opmn/util/opmn_config

To re-register these resources execute the appropriate registration
         scripts:

         /opt/SUNWscebs/cmg/util/cmg_register
         /opt/SUNWscebs/opmn/util/opmn_register

Please refer to the Sun Cluster Data Service for Oracle E-Business
         Suite Guide for more information.

Instead you may specify the APPS password within a restricted file
on each Sun Cluster node as /opt/SUNWscebs/.${APP_SID}_passwd. You
are advised to create the restricted file as read only by root, e.g.

         # ls -l /opt/SUNWscebs/.PROD_passwd
         -r-------- 1 root root 5 Jul 29 04:37 /opt/SUNWscebs/.PROD_passwd
         # cat /opt/SUNWscebs/.PROD_passwd
         apps
         #

Before re-registering, please make a note of any timeout
extension properties that may have been changed since the
resource was initially registered, so that you can re-apply
those changes to the re-registered resources.

To display all the timeout extension properties and their values
associated with the resource issue the following command:

         # scrgadm -pvv <Resource_name> | grep -i timeout

To apply extension property changes to the re-registered resource
         issue the following command:

         # scrgadm -c -j <Resource_name> [-y <property> [-y <property>]] \
         [-x <property> [-x <property>]]
