This patch supplies bug fixes for CAM 6.9.0 Typical 'Full Installation' or Custom 
'Management Host' or 'Data Host Proxy Agent' installations. It is not intended to 
be used or is it required for 'Administrator Host CLI Client' installations.
 
CAM 6.9.0 firmware updates and bug fixes are not supplied with this patch. Firmware updates 
and bug fixes are supplied by separate CAM 6.9.0 firmware patches. Please check the latest 
CAM 6.9.0 firmware patches to see if they apply to your arrays and JBODS and install these
patches as needed.

Please refer to the man pages for instructions on using 'patchadd'
and 'patchrm' commands provided with Solaris.
 
The following example installs a patch to a standalone machine:
 
       example# patchadd /var/spool/patch/123456-07
 
The following example removes a patch from a standalone system:
 
       example# patchrm 123456-07
 
For additional examples please see the appropriate man pages. Any
other special or non-generic installation instructions should be
described below as special instructions.

This patch can only be applied to Solaris, and Oracle Solaris 11 Express sparc
systems that have the CAM 6.9.0 PRE-REQUISITE release installed.
 
1) Login to the Management Host as root user.
 
2) Download this patch to your download directory.  Extract the patch using
   the appropriate archive tool.
 
   WARNING: When patchadd invokes the pkgadd utility to install each patched
   package it does so as user 'install' or user 'nobody' when user 'install' is 
   not defined. User 'nobody' requires search permission in all subdirectories 
   in the path to the downloaded patch or checkinstall will fail. See patchadd(1M) 
   for more information.
 
3) For details and installation information about CAM 6.9.0, go to:

4) Verify the correct release of CAM is installed and determine the base installation
   was a 'Full Installation', 'Management Host', 'Data Host Proxy Agent', or
   'Administrator Host CLI Client' installation by running the 'iam' command and 
   checking the output.
 
   # /var/opt/CommonArrayManager/Host_Software_6.9.0.16/bin/iam
 
   Note: The 'iam' tool is NOT updated by this patch so it will continue to display
         CAM release 6.9.0.16 after the patch is installed.
 
5) Apply the patch:
 
   To install the patch on Solaris Hosts:
 
      # cd <your download directory>
      # /usr/sbin/patchadd 147416-02
 
      Notes: 
      1. Ignore any 'Warning: smreg is obsolete ...' warning messages.
      2. On installations other than 'Full Installation' you will see patchadd messages for 
         packages included in this patch but not installed on the system. These are expected
         and can be ignored.
 
   To install the patch on Oracle Solaris 11 Express Hosts:
 
      # cd <your download directory>/147416-02
      # ./patchadd.sh .
 
      Notes: 
      1) The following error message can be ignored for each package:
 
            /var/sadm/pkg/<Package Name>/save/147416-02/undo: -- file unchanged
            compress(1) returned error code 2
            The <Package Name> backout package will not be compressed.
 
      2) This patch does not support live installation on Oracle Solaris 11 Express
         systems. Refer to CR: 6904590 for additional information.
 
6) You can use one of the following methods to verify the patch is installed based on
   the installation type obtained in step 4.
 
   On Solaris Hosts, use the 'showrev' command to list the patches applied to the system:
 
      # showrev -p | grep 147416-02
      Patch: 147416-02 Obsoletes:  ...
 
   On all Solaris Host 'Full Installation', 'Management Host', or 'Data Host Proxy Agent' 
   installations run the 'lsscs --version' command:
 
      # /opt/SUNWsefms/bin/lsscs --version
      Sun Storage Common Array Manager v6.9.0.20
 
   On all Solaris Host 'Full Installation' installations you can also display the version 
   using your browser. It will be 6.9.0.20.
 
7) Install firmware patches as needed and upgrade the array firmware using the 
   Common Array Manager:
 
   https://<this host ip address>:6789
 
8) If you need to backout this patch you can use one of the following methods.
 
   To backout the patch on Solaris Hosts:
 
      # /usr/sbin/patchrm 147416-02
 
   To backout the patch on Oracle Solaris 11 Express Hosts:
 
      # cd <your download directory>/147416-02
      # ./patchrm.sh <Path to your base 6.9.0.16 DVD or download directory image>
 
      Note: When the Web Console is installed by CAM 6.9.0 the installation log will 
            contain errors relating to a Web Console failure installing its man pages. 
            Refer to 6903099 written against the Web Console for additional information.
